George Kuykendall
Executive Director
Citizens for Community Values
Prior to joining CCV Mr. Kuykendall was director of marketing and recruitment for ITT Technical Institute, where he received national recognition for his performance.
Mr. Kuykendall served 26-1/2 years in the United States Navy as pilot and Naval officer. He began his career in 1965. After earning his pilots wings he had a long and rewarding career that included serving as Commanding Officer of three commands, the last being Navy Recruiting District Memphis TN.
While serving on the Collierville Planning Commission Mr. Kuykendall became interested in the harm pornography and sexual orientated business bring to families and communities when a “Gentleman’s Club” made application to open in Collierville. This new kindled interest led to a life long commitment to continue the fight against the harms of pornography and the damage it causes families and children. Citizens for Communities Value’s Vision of significantly reducing sexual exploitation and violence in greater Memphis and of helping those who have been exploited in the sex industry provided a natural partnership of like-minded goals and interests.
Mr. Kuykendall is a native of Memphis and has earned degrees in History and Geography from The University of Memphis. He lives with his wife in the Memphis area and has one daughter that resides in Memphis and two daughters who attend Universities in Tennessee.
